Exclusively styled décor for the Barns at Hunsbury Hill
We’re pleased to say that we’ve been working with the Barns at Hunsbury Hill with their delightful new project of marketing re-brand. The project kick started with the re-design of the logo and slight name change to the Barns at Hunsbury Hill. A few months on we’re proud to share pictures of our photoshoot showcasing the new design décor available to hire for any couples who that book this lovely venue.
The Barns provide a beautiful blank canvas to work with. Sometimes this can be a little daunting on where to start! Our main objective when designing the space was to enhance the beautiful features of the barn, to create a DIY country style décor with lots of colour, patterns and texture.
Often people will say their wedding was the best day of their life. With this in mind we wanted our décor to create this impression and tone for the day as well as complementing the Barns. We had lots of fun filling the ceiling void with masses of bunting in the ceiling, and taken inspiration from party streamers a feature backdrop layered with over 300 metres of ribbon, bulb light and tissue paper balls were hung together to create a strong first impression as guests walk into the room – not to mention a fab photo backdrop should the weather be a little iffy!
Shabby Furniture – To break up the wall space and to create a more informal vibe furniture pieces were brought in. Pastel painted pieces grouped together injected colour to the original brick work. We used: sofas & random arm chairs, a large dresser filled with old painted books, teamed together with a small glass dresser filled with paper poms. The mint coloured side board is a great way to display your beautiful wedding cake and make it part of your room décor. Even the entrance to the bar area was framed with two distressed cream doors bridged with a beautiful flower garland.
Table décor – Sometimes less is more! the tables have been laid out in a very simple style. Again focusing on adding colour. We used a vintage tea set was used with glass detailed plate chargers, with matching glass cut wine and water glasses. Linen napkins were laid out in alternate colours, blush, mint and stone with a country styled print menu card sitting on top.
Flowers – To create focal point to the table, seasonal country styled jam jars of flower were displayed on a sliced log of wood. The furniture we brought in is great to add additional flower displays to the outskirts of the room as additional slices of wood had various displays of lanterns, love signs and old books.
To complete the look Marge our country caravan is a great outside prop. If you are looking for a festival styled wedding Impressions catering are always keen to use Marge to serve from as part of their alfresco catering package.
When the lights go down our Parisian styled outdoor cinema projecting old romantic films, or fun images of the lovely bride and groom rounds off the evening.
We hope you like the images. Décor packages as featured in the photoshoot for the Barns start from as little as £1,250 – we’d only be too pleased to chat through your up and coming wedding.
